About The Company

Securitay was founded in late 2005 by two experienced software professionals with a passion for software that solves problems. Securitay is still a small - but profitable - company that allows the founders to engage in their passion without a lot of distraction. We don't have a professional, full-time Sales and Marketing staff. Everyone in the company writes code at some time or another.

About the Name

When Dave isn't writing software, or talking to Jeff about writing software, he can be found (weather permitting) out on his sailboat. In VHF radio etiquette, there are three levels of distress message priority; Mayday, Pan Pan, and Securitay. Securitay messages are used to announce a non life-threatening potential navigation hazard. Securitay is simply the French pronunciation of Security. In Dave's twisted mind this correlated to what we do on many levels and so it became the name of the company. Dave gets immense satisfaction when he is out on his boat with the VHF on because someone is always mentioning the name of his company. He thinks this is free advertising.
